4 County grants Loving Hands

Dear Editor,

The Loving Hands Clinic recently received a grant award in the amount of $8,000 from the Four County Community Foundation to support the work being done in the Clinic to help provide free access to primary medical and dental care for uninsured or underinsured residents of Lapeer County, who are between the ages of 19-64 years old and have income that is at or below 200 percent of federal poverty guidelines.

Funding from this grant will be used to provide medications and supplies for the Clinic's new Diabetic Outreach Programs and to assist in expanding the dental services currently available to established patients of the Loving Hands Clinic. The Clinic is extremely appreciative of the community commitment on the part of the Four County Community Foundation to assist the Loving Hands Clinic, and the people of Lapeer County by providing funding to assist our residents who otherwise would not have access to quality primary medical and dental care.
