Habitat volunteers celebrate with thanks

Dear Editor,

Our latest Lapeer County Habitat for Humanity project is nearing its end with our final building inspection.

Our Dedication Day went very well on October 11, with more than 50 in attendance. Special thanks to our neighbors from St. Patrick's Catholic Church across the street who hosted a delicious breakfast on behalf of Lapeer County Habitat for Humanity and our guests.

Thanks to Fr. Rich Treml from St. Pat's and the cluster parishes of Sts. Peter and Paul and St. Mary's of Burnside, who provided our Dedication Blessing and to Paul St. Louis (a current Lapeer County Habitat Board Member) who offered our opening and closing prayers.

Following our Dedication Ceremony, an open house was held and our guests toured the new home.

Many thanks to all who have made this project a great success. We could not have accomplished this task without all of them. On behalf of the Board of Directors of Lapeer County Habitat for Humanity, our Executive Director, and the Jason Wright family, I am honored to extend to all of our volunteers—at the office, worksite, committee members, lunch providers, contractors, supporters, and benefactors—a very heartfelt Thank You!!!
