Families amazed, overwhelmed by community’s support
My family and I would like to thank everyone who participated in the rosary service on Sunday, Sept. 28.
We would especially like to thank Carol Walker for such a wonderful idea; Father Wayne, Father Matt, Caroline and Steven Muylaert, Melissa Klave and Kevin Mantey from St. Cornelius for leading us in prayers and song; Peggy Bulger and everyone at Charlie Brown's in Almont for their help in getting the word out, and anyone and everyone who either helped organize the event or participated.
We've always known we live in a supporting and loving community but even now we are still reeling from your support. The magnitude of this experience will not be forgotten.
We estimate that there were 350 or more people present plus all of those who prayed from home. To look out across the yard at all the lit candles and hear the voices uplifted in song and praise was such a moving and humbling experience. Although words cannot express our appreciation, my family and I wish to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts and we pray that you all felt the presence of the Holy Spirit as much as we did.
We also wanted you to know that not only did your presence inspire faith in my and my family, but in others as well. We've heard many people say that they were moved by the experience. We would like to thank you on their behalf as well.
It is comforting to know that we are surrounded by so many wonderful and helpful individuals. We don't know what we would do without you.
