LDC has a new Web site


Dear Editor,

The Lapeer Development Corporation has launched a new web site www.lapeerdevelopment.com to assist businesses in Lapeer County. The site provides a list of programs available including financing, tax incentives, job training, market diversification and site selection. Both state and local programs are listed on the user friendly site.

The Lapeer Development Corporation (LDC), is a community based, 501(c)(3) economic development organization. Its purpose is to lead and coordinate economic development throughout Lapeer County and to provide a link between federal, state and local governments and businesses interested in locating or expanding in Lapeer County. Since its inception, LDC has had the pleasure of assisting over 324 businesses create 6,510 jobs, which has resulted in a private sector investment of $486,651,499.

Information about becoming a member of the Economic Club of Lapeer County is provided. Pictures of all of the past notable speakers are on the site. Some of the speakers have included: Adam Cardinal Maida, U of M President Mary Sue Coleman, MSU President Lou Anna Simon, Dave Bing and Governor Jennifer Granholm. Membership dues support economic development in Lapeer County.
