An alphabetical disorder?

Dear Editor,

I would like to offer my thanks and appreciation to all the people that voted for me in the August 5 primary election.

Candidates are always listed in alphabetical order. In precinct one I was in the 6th position and moved up one position to 5th in precinct two. When voters are asked to vote for "not more than four," (and there were six candidates) and they do not personally know the candidates they usually will vote for the first four candidates on the ballot. Therefore, because of the alphabetical order scenario, I possibly did not receive any votes from the voters that vote for the first four candidates listed on the ballot. So I know that each vote I received was from a voter that came to the polls specifically to vote for me.

Although I didn't win a trustee position, I am eternally grateful to have won the trust and confidence of the 320 people that specifically voted for me. To all of you, many thanks!!

Most of all, thanks to my wife Linda, daughter April and son Paul for all their love, help and support.
