Now that the Primary Election campaign of 2008 has come to an end, I want to commend and thank all of the voters of Lapeer County. We had a record turnout for a State Representative primary. I not only want to thank the 3,338 voters who were kind enough to cast their ballots in my favor, but all of the voters who cared enough to participate in the election.
It was a genuine pleasure to work with so many people throughout Lapeer County during the 15-month campaign. It was a humbling experience to have so many volunteers work their hearts out for a cause. I am very proud of those volunteers, particularly Campaign Manager Marty Homan and Campaign Chairman Curt Carter. We ran a strong, positive campaign based on the issues and the need to move Lapeer County forward.
Michigan and Lapeer County are in dire economic circumstances. It is my intention to remain actively involved in public issues and to continue to fight the good fight for a rebirth of prosperity and conservative values. I will continue to serve you as your school board president and as your township, city and village attorney.
