Bowling fundraiser gives IC cheerleaders a boost

Dear Editor,

On July 25th the Imlay City High School Varsity Sideline Cheer Team held their First 9 pin no tap bowling fundraiser. The fundraiser's intentions were to raise enough money to cover costs for the year.

Thanks to all who participated and donated they managed to do just that. The cheerleaders went around to businesses a month before and asked for donations for a 50/50 raffle. Then they had to get couples to sign up and bowl. The maximum number of bowlers was 144. The girls had 40 bowlers and sold tickets for door prizes, 50/50, concession, bake sale and strike ball. They managed to raise close to $1,100.00 for the season. They would like to thank the businesses and people that this possible:

Country Smoke House, Super 8 Motel, Scoops Ice Cream, Grondin's, Appearance Plus Hair Studio, Imlay City Ford Lincoln Mercury, B.P. Gas Station, Videomation, McDonald's, Big Boy's, Silver Grill, Pickle Barrel, Team 1 Mortgage, Cislo Title, Starbucks, C.S. Dodge & Sons, Speedway Gas Station, New China Buffet, Arnold's Car Wash, Len's Party Store, Henry's Tent & Party Rental, Master's Automotive.

They also had businesses that donated money to us including Scoops Ice Cream, Cislo Title, VanDyke Trailers, Bee Gee's Shoes, Soulliere Construction and Contracting and Vidon Plastics. They also want to thank everyone who came out to bowl and support the team!

Again thank you to everyone, we can't wait to see you at the games!
