I just want to pass along a compliment to Imlay City Police Chief John Stano and the police department.
As you know, we had quite a storm go through the City on Sunday, June 8. Once the storm was over, I took a drive to see how much damage we had sustained.
While the storm damage was remarkably minimal, I did see something worth noting.
On North Main St. a large maple tree limb blew down crushing a parked car and blocking the street. When I arrived, I could not help noticing Imlay City officer Dave Rock in the midst of the debris helping the residents remove the tree limbs from the street and the car. This was not clean nor easy work but he pitched right in.
It is refreshing in this day and age to see someone go above and beyond the call of duty and do what is needed at the time
Congratulations to Officer Rock, the Chief and the entire department of dedicated Imlay City police officers.
