Thanks for making dinner a success

Dear Editor,

Just as you need cash to pay your bills at home, we depend on the generosity of our community to "keep the lights on" at the Historical Museum. We thank the following for sharing their community pride and playing a role in educating the citizenry about our past. The Old-Fashioned Roast Beef Supper held on Fri., April 18 was a great success thanks to contributions from the following:

Pizza Machine, Imlay City Hardware, Imlay City Downtown Development Authority, Jim's Recycling, Rep. John Stahl, Lapeer Grain, Kroger, Focus Studio, Sportsmen's Barber Shop, Imlay City Eagles, Chick's Barber Shop, Tri-County Bank, Kelly's Pet Grooming, The Learning Depot, Gem & Diamond Specialists, Kempf's Flower Shop, Eastern Michigan Fair, Penzien Farms, Dick and Yvonne Wilson and to all of the members of the Historical Museum that contributed to the auction, donated pies, worked the event, and supported the event by purchasing tickets.

We apologize if we have missed anyone from the above list and sincerely thank you. We also invite you to visit the museum and help us retain the importance of teaching our students and adults about Imlay City's heritage.

Marilyn Swihart, Secretary, Board of Directors, Imlay City Historical Commission Inc.
