Chamber thanks community for support at fundraising auction
As the year moves forward, your Imlay City Area Chamber of Commerce continues to improve our services to our membership and to our community.
On Saturday, April 5, we held our annual fundraising auction, which was a great success. We owe it to all of the people who worked so hard to coordinate the event, as well as those who came to purchase items and support the Chamber of Commerce.
I would like to extend a personal thank you to the area businesses and individuals that donated items and services to the auction; to the chairpersons and many volunteers who made phone calls, collected donations, helped transport the items, and set up and ran the auction; to the Eagles for providing a great location for the event; to the Imlay City Cheerleaders for providing concession services; to Brian Rowley and Kevin Rowden for keeping the crowd entertained and bidding; to all of the generous people who bid on and purchased items at the auction; and to my fellow Board members and executive director for enthusiastically supporting our Chamber of Commerce activities.
I know that there are others even beyond the people and groups that I have mentioned that have also contributed, and I would also like to say thank you for your support.
The great success of our recent auction is just another example of the fine community that we have the privilege of being part of, and providing services to.
Thank you again!
Ken Swanstrom, President, Board of Directors, Imlay City Area Chamber of Commerce
