As you know, recently child safety seats have been effective in reducing injuries that could have killed or crippled a youngster.
However, in order for these child safety seats to work a number of factors need to be addressed by the parents or grandparents. The seat must fit the child, the seat must fit the car and the seat must be properly installed and adjusted.
With factories downsizing or closing and retirement plans passing on additional costs to retirees, we would like to offer on a limited basis a free child safety seat to deserving families. The seats are on display in our neighborhood and township deputy patrol areas including Atttica Twp., Arcadia Twp., Clifford, Deerfield Twp. Elba Twp., Marathon Twp., Mayfield and Oregon.
Qualifying families will receive a free seat after being demonstrated the proper installation procedures and safety checks by a deputy who is a certified car seat installer.
If you know of a deserving family please have them contact Deaneen North at 810-245-1365 or see a sample seat at your neighborhood substations.
