Too many roads neglected by snow plows

Dear Editor,

Where are the snow plows? I live on Brown City Road north of Shaw. I am very mad at the road commission for neglecting these roads every time we have a snow storm. I understand that they have to take care of the main roads first, but where are they after that?

My husband and I have to go to work to pay for our high taxes that are supposed to pay to keep the roads plowed and safe to drive on. Our roads have been so bad that they are impassable. If you meet a car, no one can get by except if you own a four-wheel drive, which not all of us do.

If they cancel school our roads will not get plowed. Well, we still have to go to work and we can't always be late. There are not a lot of street lights so I try to wait until it gets light so I can see the tracks in the road. My husband has wrecked his muffler trying to get to his job due to the snow so high on the roads after being stuck for hours.

This is a disgrace. I realize I don't live in the city, but I also know my tax dollars should help pay to keep these roads safe and clear.
