DDA director gives nod to supporters of 2008 Recipe Walk

Dear Editor,

I would like to thank all the people who came out on Sat., Feb. 9 to participate in the Third Annual Recipe Walk and Street Art Exhibit in Downtown Imlay City.

It was exciting to see so many people walking the streets of Downtown Imlay City in search of recipe coupons. There were people enjoying the horse and carriage rides and others viewing the Downtown Shamrocks. I hope that everyone had a great time in downtown Imlay City.

The Downtown Development Authority has sold 114 books to date. As a result of the high participation level, Downtown Recipe Walk Cookbooks will be available at City Hall for $5. The Downtown Shamrocks will be up for the month of February, weather permitting.

This event could not have happened without the help of downtown merchants and community members. I would like to thank those who participated in the event by entering a recipe and or sponsoring a Downtown Shamrock.
