We are still overwhelmed with the sympathy and kindness from the people in the local communities since the loss of our son Donnie Hunsucker.
Friends, relatives and even strangers offered assistance when we were too numb to think. Many friends and young people found us at church that morning to extend their sympathy. Within hours of the tragic news, the house was filled with food and supplies, the yard filled with cars.
Your love was obvious with the many floral and framed tributes, hundreds of cards and attendance at the visitation and funeral.
We thank Fr. Wayne Ureel, pastor of St. John the Evangelist Church, Assistant Pastor Fr. Charles Ratnasamy and former Pastor Fr. Gerry Fraley who co-celebrated the funeral mass with Monsignor G. Michael Bugarain, friend of the family who officiated. We also thank the many people who offered to take part in the beautiful liturgy.
Thank you to the many people it took to plan, prepare and serve the hundreds of people who attended the luncheon. You worked so hard, and we hesitate mentioning names for fear of omitting anyone. Your generosity was incredible.
We thank Capac Schools for everything they have done, including providing buses to shuttle to the cemetery. We'd like to speak especially of the love and compassion of the many young people of the communities who just wanted to be there for us, formed an honor guard and Donnie's friends who enlisted a bagpiper for the recessional.
Special thanks to the Kaatz Funeral Home for their wonderful services. We love all of you.
