Loving Hands offers primary medical care

Dear Editor,

The Loving Hands Clinic wishes to thank and acknowledge Meijer's, Wal-Mart, Nich and John Gjolaj of the Apple Tree Restaurant, Jeff Ryeson of E.G. Nick's, Ted's Sports Bar at the Best Western of Lapeer, Brian's Restaurant, The Farmhouse, the Lapeer County Demo-cratic Party, Strings 'N Things Hammered Dulcimer Group, Nate Kreger, Yolanda Kalanquin and the Hospitality Team from the Loving Hands Clinic, Pastor and Mrs. Gary Gillim of Maple Grove Church, members of their congregation who stepped in to help wherever it was needed, the Lapeer Area Chamber of Commerce, and the many, many individuals too numerous to mention for providing food, financial contributions, kitchen support and entertainment to the clinic's 1st Annual Harvest of Hope Dinner.

The dinner was a success and 100 percent of the proceeds went to support the clinic's mission of providing primary medical and future dental screening care to patients of the Loving Hands Clinic free of charge. The clinic is open one day a week by appointment to medically uninsured and underserved residents of the greater Lapeer County area who are between the ages of 19 and 64 and whose income is at 200 percent of the federal poverty level. For more information call the clinic at 810-667-8933.

A big thank you to all our guests for joining us. We hope you had a good time.
