May I say and send a huge thank you on behalf of the Imlay City Chamber of Commerce to the many merchants who participated in the Annual Merchant Trick-or-Treat Walk on yet another rainy Saturday, October 27. The weather certainly did not dampen the enthusiasm as the DDA 'Scarecrows on Parade' greeted the costumed kids and adults as well. The addition of Sue Howard's Extreme dancers really topped off the event this year, giving the public just another great reason to enjoy downtown Imlay City.
I'd also like to remind the community of the upcoming Santa Parade downtown on Fri., Nov. 30 at 6 p.m. for which the Chamber is still accepting parade entry applications. This is also Customer Appreciation Day for merchants, and the kick-off to
"Light Up Imlay City" and the holiday season.
The following evening at 6 p.m. the public is welcome to celebrate our great city at the Annual Chamber Dinner Dance at the Countryside Banquet Center, at which time we will honor a Citizen of the Year, Merit and Service Award winners. Letters of nomination for Citizen of the Year will be accepted until Fri., Nov. 17. Leave a message at the Chamber office, 724-1361, with any questions.
