Momís Club thankful for donations, support

Dear Editor,

It's hard to believe, but another football season has come and gone. On behalf of the Imlay City Varsity Football 'Mom's Club,' we would like to take time to thank everyone that has helped make this year's season of football dinners a success. Every Thursday evening at 6 p.m. the varsity football team would gather at the Imlay City Eagles Hall for dinner before the big game on Friday night. With the help of many parents and businesses our dinners were a big success.

We would like to give a big thank you to the Imlay City Eagles Hall for letting us use the hall for our dinners. Thank you to the following for their donations: McDonald's, Kroger's, Rite-Aid, Big Lots, Len's Party Store, Pamida, Mortimer Lumber, Walmart, Tietz Restaurant, Imlay City Ford, Big Joe's, SMB Logistics Inc., Classic Sports Photography, schools Supt. Gary Richards, high school Principal Stu Cameron, counselors Laura and Paul Druker and Pat Brown.

We would also like to give a big thanks to all the parents that donated their time to help with preparing and serving the food each week. We could not have done it without all of their help.

Last, we would like to thank the young men on the football team. They are a terrific bunch of guys. They always came ready to eat and always showed their appreciation to us moms after dinner by saying thank you and giving us big hugs. Having these dinners for the boys along with the coaches and parents is a great way to make memories that will last a lifetime.
