Brady wins at ‘Idol’ contest


Dear Editor,

There were many winners at the Millington Old-Fashioned Summer Festival.

The first 'Millington Idol' adult winner was Kealy McKenzie of Vassar, who won a vehicle of her choice from Joseph Chevrolet Inc., Millington for three months.

Second place winner was Katie Whitis-Brady of the Imlay City area, who won $100.

Third place winner was Greg Martell of Millington, who won $50.

In the 20 years and under division, Chelsea Loudon of Vassar won first and second place for a total of $150. Third place winner was Carlee Allard of Millington, who won $25.

Judges were Mike Cameron, meteorologist, TV 5, John Gregor, sales manager, Joseph Chevrolet, Carol Crocker, traffic dept., Cumulus, Cheryl Mangold, music instructor and musician, Jayson Mays, manager, Carter Lumber, Mt. Morris, and Maria Powell, chairman, Montrose Blueberry Festival.

We had a great group or judges and we would like to thank everyone who participated in singing and watching.
