The Imlay City Historical Museum continues to be a gathering place during the Blueberry Festival. More than 2,000 people stopped by the museum and in doing so learned of our local history and heritage. The Blueberry Pie and Ice Cream Social was as good as ever.
We owe a sincere thank you to Janet and Brian Hill of Scoops Ice Cream Shop for their donation of the wonderful blueberry cheesecake ice cream. Our thanks also go to Mike Moorehouse of Imlay City Big Boy restaurant for his help in securing the blueberry pies, and to Greg Dennis for his sponsorship of the advertising, and to Sam's Club of Grand Blanc for the gift certificate that offset the cost of supplies.
Christine Kempf and Bev Stimer scheduled more than 70 volunteers who served as cashiers, kitchen help, drink servers, runners, museum hosts, set-up and clean-up crews during this two day event. Those of you that worked know who you are and we extend our deepest appreciation to you.
Thanks to all of you who stopped by to say hello and support the continued operation of our great little museum.
