When I think of honor, distinction and class I think of Imlay City Police Lt. John Palacios.
Thirty years ago John was our liaison officer between the school and the police department. John worked very hard to get our children to understand the laws. He also spent many, many hours to make sure every Imlay City student could get into Vo-Tech to enrich their lives.
John is also a wonderful ambassador to help cement community relations between our Mexican-American city. Have you noticed the low crime rate in Imlay City? I credit John and the honorable Imlay City Police Department for working hard to accomplish this success.
Like all of you, it is my most fervent prayer that this honorable man will soon be well enough to return to doing police work and enriching our lives.
