I would like to thank all of the staff of Imlay City schools. The hard working secretaries behind the scenes, nurses, den mothers who keep the kids' school shots and us parents in order!
The lunch room helpers and cooks who encourage the youngsters to eat because they soon will be home to see their moms, and the playground staff who try to make it fun with rules, which is hard to do sometimes.
The art teachers who show kids they have talent where they didn't think they did. The music teachers who always put on a wonderful concert.
To the math, science and English teachers who I could hug, which I'm sure I have many times, for helping our children understand and to have fun at the same time.
And to the bus drivers and staff who could be called on at any time. They are truly dedicated and always there to help—early, early hours and late hours. Thank you.
And to all of the teachers of Imlay City who truly love what you do. You may get burned out, but you come back refreshed from the summer. Through bad health, sickness in the family, or losing a loved one, you are always there for our kids.
To the wonderful principals and board members who live in our communities, who encourage this mom and let me be a helper and part of everything throughout all of my kids' school adventures. It was fun working with you all.
Now, as I see you have prepared them so well for college, I say 'thanks!'
I stand up tall and tip my cowboy hat to each one of you who warmed my heart with happy and loving tears in my eyes.
A big 'thank you' to the wonderful staff of Imlay City schools.
