November 24, 2010 GOODLAND TWP. — A 22 year-old Imlay City man was killed Sunday morning when the tractor he was driving was struck by a vehicle.
Russell Roszczewski was westbound on Shaw Road, between Wheeling and Brown City roads, around 9 a.m. on Nov. 28 on a Farmall tractor. According to Sgt. Jason Parks of the Lapeer County Sheriff's Department, a 44 year-old Imlay City woman was attempting to pass Roszczewski in a 2002 Chevy Venture van when he performed a left turn toward his residential driveway and the two vehicles collided.
Roszczewski was ejected from the tractor which had no cab or roll bar and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The van's driver, 44 year-old Jane Bostian of Imlay City, was not injured.
Imlay City Police and the Goodland Township Fire Department assisted the sheriff's department on scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
