CAPAC — The Capac varsity volleyball team dropped a 19-25, 12-25, 12-25 verdict to visiting Armada in a Blue Water Area Conference matchup on Tuesday, September 14.
For Capac, Abby Aguinaga led the way with 26 digs. She was backed by Shawna McMann (10 digs), Samantha Smith and Nicole Gilbert (nine each) along with Jennica Polzin, Jill Lauwers and Alicia Blackstock (two apiece).
Taylor Venzuch (two) and Lauwers (one) furnished Capac's solo blocks.
Smith (three) plus Kelsey Tosch, Taylor Miller, Lauwers and Aguinaga (one each) provided Capac's aces.
Hitting-wise, Gilbert (four kills) notched the top Capac credentials. She was backed by Polzin and Smith (three kills apiece) along with McMann, Lauwers and Aguinaga.
With the result, Capac now stands at 0-2 as far as BWAC encounters are concerned.
