TRI-CITY AREA — Following a pair of scoreless halves and an overtime session, Imlay City registered a 5-3 shootout triumph against visiting Almont in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity boys' soccer encounter last Wednesday.
Edgar Galvan, Geoffrey Muir, Jonathan Torres, Alejandro Zepeda and Jose Barragan collected Imlay City's shootout goals.
Torres handled the goalkeeping chores for Imlay City. He wound up with 10 saves, including two during the shootout.
Brandon Gorde, Grant Boxey and Aaron Schapman supplied Almont's shootout goals.
Wes Hall went the distance as Almont's goalkeeper. Hall managed 12 saves.
