The Michigan Young Guns 13 and Under baseball team is headed to the AABC World Series in Battle Creek. They are front (L to R) Trevor Gadowski, batboy Trevor Grabowski, Grant Turnmire, Trevor Nichols, Alex Thibodeau and Seth Dixon; and back coach Bill Turnmire, coach Terry Grabowski, Grant Grabowski, Brandon Robinson, Zachery Pate, Hunter Maul, coach Don Maul, Nick Hochstein, Jake Zielinski, Mark Nichols, Nick Robinson and coach Rod Zielinski.

The Michigan Young Guns are slated to play their games Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week.

Friday to Sunday teams will square off against each other based on their tournament seeding.

The Michigan Young Guns are certainly no strangers to success, having ended their regular season with a pacesetting 24-2 Macomb Amateur Baseball Federation mark recently.

That is what earned the team a berth in the Brighton-based state tournament that was contested July 19-21. It was there the team registered a third-place finish, assuring themselves a spot in the AABC World Series.
