IMLAY CITY — Imlay City posted a 1-1 mark, good enough to secure a second-place finish at a Division 2 softball district it hosted last Friday.
The team began their two-game stint with a 3-1 semifinal win at Lakeville's expense.

Alyssa Dawson (two for four, one RBI and one run scored) proved Imlay City's top offensive threat. Morgan Nelson (a triple and one RBI), Spencer Seaman (a triple) and Chelsea Thompson (a single) supported her plate performance.
Erin Combs was Imlay City's pitcher of record. She allowed three hits, struck out 12 and issued one walk along the way.
Imlay City then met Cros-Lex for district honors next.
When the final out was registered there, Cros-Lex notched a 1-0 victory over Imlay City.
Cros-Lex scored the game-winning run during inning number five.
Olivia Leonardi paced Imlay City with a pair of singles. Nelson followed, legging out a double, and Thompson added a single.
With the results, Imlay City finishes the 2010 campaign as owners of a 22-13 mark.
