Co-sponsored by the Almont Homecoming Committee and Downtown Development Authority, the 2010 "Frenzy" features 55 registered garage sales, the most ever for the event.

"We've enjoyed a great response for the garage sales," said DDA Director Nancy Boxey. "It should be bustling around town."

Boxey said young artists won't want to miss out on the "Chalk Around the Fountain Contest," to take place Saturday, May 22 at 10 a.m. at the Pocket Park downtown.

The "chalk art" contest is sponsored by the Almont American Legion Auxiliary and is open to all students in grades 6-12. Cash prizes will be awarded the winners.
