IMLAY CITY — Imlay City earned a 6-2 win against visiting Algonac in a Blue Water Area Conference girls' tennis matchup last Thursday.
In individual action, Anne Pawlaczyk netted a 6-1, 6-0 top flight victory against Danielle Radulski; Chaylyn Henderson obtained a 6-1, 6-0 triumph over Kendra Frishcosy at second singles; Janaye Powers fell by a 0-6, 6-4, 6-7 third flight count to Megan Fisher; and Kelsey Johnson posted a 6-0, 6-1 win against Ashley Edwards at fourth singles.
As far as doubles play was concerned, Ysaline Covreur and Ashley Dockham claimed a 6-3, 6-2 top flight victory over Stacy Rix and Ally Molletti; Allison Parsch and Hayley Kensington registered a 6-2, 6-7, 6-4 triumph against Allison Whitman and Andrea Barney at second doubles; Sara Laakso and Danielle Blount dropped a 1-6, 2-6 third flight verdict to Heidi Highstreet and Hannah Schmidt; plus Katharina Brodel and Taylor Reiff managed a 6-3, 6-0 win over Carrie-Anne Wyatt and Jessica Miller at fourth doubles.
