Participating in the Junior Varsity 220-pound weight division, Orzel logged a pacesetting total of 1,100 pounds.
Orzel's performance featured a 280-pound bench press; a squat lift of 360 pounds; and a deadlift of 455 pounds.
Katelyn Parent, of Capac, also gave a good account of herself at the Michigan State Powerlifting Meet.
The senior pulled up third in the Varsity 145-pound weight division on the strength of a 565-pound total.
