IMLAY CITY — The Imlay City wrestling team went 3-2 en route to a third-place finish last Wednesday at the Oxford Invitational.
Imlay City opened their five-match stint with a 42-30 win against Marysville. That was followed by a 33-31 victory over Novi; a 67-6 loss to Oxford; a 55-21 triumph against Walled Lake Central; and a 54-25 setback to Durand.
Sam Lyscas (135) and Matt Myers (152) led Imlay City that day. They wound up with 5-0 marks each.
Josh Scillian (103), R.J. See (112) and Andrew Pawlaczyk (119) had the next best Imlay City showings, going 4-1.
Jake Scillian (130) and Steven Preisel (145) provided Imlay City with above .500 marks as well. They finished 3-2 apiece.
With the results, Imlay City now stands at 14-9 overall.
