Almont disposes of rival Richmond in four games

ALMONT — Almont overcame a one-game deficit to net a 19-25, 28-26, 25-14, 26-24 win against visiting Richmond in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity volleyball matchup last Wednesday night.

With the final, Almont improves to 3-8 overall and 1-1 as far as BWAC clashes are concerned.

Erica Crawford (17), Tasha Evans (13), Katie Porter (11) and Scotti Langley (10) led Almont with double digit dig outputs.

Evans accounted for all four of Almont's solo blocks.

Hillary Cooper and Porter notched the highest Almont ace totals. They finished with seven and four aces, respectively.

Porter handled the bulk of Almont's playmaking responsibilities. She was credited with 16 assists.

Evans proved the top Almont net threat, cranking out 16 kills. Crawford added four kills to the Raiders' cause.
