DRYDEN — Live music, inflatable rides, crafts, a car show, fine food and a lot of great people. All these ingredients combine this Saturday, Sept. 26, for the 2009 Dryden Fall Fest.

The traditional autumn event kicks off with the Fall Fest Parade at 11 a.m. Highlights also include vendor exhibits from 11:30 a.m. till dusk and a beer tent.

Kids games run from noon through 6 p.m. and include: Guitar Hero, under sea crawl thru, bungee run, a giant slide, moonwalk, an inflatable rock wall and star laser tag.

Other activities include a book sale at the Dryden Library and devouring Bob's Famous Barbeque Sandwiches at the Dryden Fire Department downtown.

The entertainment begins at 1:30 p.m. with The Rockabilly Strangers; followed by Tomas Esparza & The Boa Constrictors at 3:30 p.m.; The Hatchetmen at 5:30 p.m.; and The Motor City Kings at 7:30 p.m. Whitey Morgan and the 78's finish off the evening with a 9:30 p.m. performance.

Event organizer Belinda Wagner says "family fun" will be the order of the day at the festival. She urges everyone to turn out and spend the day with their families, friends and neighbors.

"It's going to be a lot of fun for everyone," says Wagner. "There's definitely something for everyone, so stop by and join us. Find out what everyone is talking about."

The Dryden Fall Fest is co-sponsored by the Dryden Events Committee and the Dryden Downtown Development Authority.
