Ches wraps up senior year with Oakland

IMLAY CITY — Roberta Ches, a graduate of Imlay City High School, completed her senior campaign with the Oakland University softball team recently.

The senior wound up with a .227 batting average, furnishing 22 hits in 97 official trips up to the plate.

In addition to those numbers, Ches waited out 15 walks, scored 14 runs, collected nine RBI, stole five bases and was hit by a pitch one time.

She also contributed 22 putouts and three assists, while committing three errors. That left her with an .893 fielding clip.

With her assistance, Oakland University wrapped up the season as owners of a 24-27 overall mark. That included a 12-11 record when pitted against Summit League adversaries.
