IMLAY CITY — Former Imlay City High School and Grand Valley State University standout David Kircus has caught on with yet another football team.

This time around Kircus' name was announced as one of Las Vegas' picks in the recent United Football League's Premiere season draft.

Orlando, San Francisco and New York round out the four-team league.

Each franchise selected 24 players and now owns the rights to those players if they choose to play in the United Football League. Their signings will be announced in the upcoming weeks.

This list may be subject to change based on further evaluations and additional player availability.

The remaining openings of each team's roster will be partially filled with players coaches had previously identified and reserved. The last invites for the 60-man opening camp rosters will go along with divisional/regional preferences assigned to each of the inaugural franchises.

The teams are expected to play a seven-game season, starting in early October, that culminates in a championship matchup Thanksgiving weekend.

And you never know. Las Vegas, which is coached by former Baltimore Ravens Offensive coordinator (2004-06) and New York Giants head coach Jim Fassel (1997-2003) could very well be the one to guide them there.
