ALMONT — Almont went 4-1 en route to a second-place finish among 10 and Under Division entries at the Imlay City All-Star Baseball Tournament this past weekend.

The team opened tournament action with an 8-1 win Friday against North Branch.

Almont followed that up with a 6-1 victory over Otisville and registered a 9-1 triumph against Lakeville on Saturday.

The squad then went to 4-0 with an 8-5 win Sunday at the expense of Imlay City.

Later that day, Almont met Washington with the winner earning the right to call themselves champions.

When the final out was recorded, Washington had prevailed via a 6-5 scoreboard count.

Roy Clancy, Josh Ratzow, Tyler Stryker, Nate Thomas, Brendan Ecker, Jordan Lesniak, Matt Schuster, Drew Revoldt, Nick Terry, Daniel DeBlauwe, Zach Revoldt, Justin Terzich and Jared Litchfield helped make Almont's second-place finish possible. They were coached by Dave Terry, Steve Lesniak and Evan Ratzow.
