In Imlay City: a Walking Club meets every Monday and Thursday at 9 a.m. at the Imlay City Senior Center.

Also at the Senior Center, Representatives from the MSU Extension office will be on hand July 10 from 12:15-1:30 p.m. to take applications for Senior Project Fresh. Applicants must be at least 60 and bring identification and proof of income of $1,670 a month or less.

The Imlay City VFW Auxiliary will meet at 2 p.m. on July 11 instead of July 4 due to the holiday.

Sanctuary at Maple Vista is hosting a free full breakfast buffet for adults ages 55 and older on July 3 from 8-10 a.m. Anita Schierlinger, family nurse practitioner of Marlette Regional Hospital will give a presentation about osteoporosis at 9 a.m. Call Crystal at 724-6300 for details.

Family of Christ Lutheran Church, 7191 Imlay City Road, will hold vacation Bible School July 13-17 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. This year's theme is 'Crocodile Dock,' for ages 4-12. Call 724-2620 to register.

Also at the library, 'Merry Music Makers' will take place at 6:30 p.m. on July 6. No registration required, program is great for children and adults alike.

The Imlay City Class of 1984 is hosting reunion events July 31 - Aug. 1. Plans include meeting at Cedar Lanes on July 31, a golf outing at Castle Creek in the morning and a dinner party at Imlay City K of C Hall in the evening of Aug. 2. Sign up for a River Crab Cruise presented by the Lapeer County Dept. of Senior Activities on Aug. 4. Take in a Detroit Tigers baseball game on Aug. 16 with the Imlay City Knights of Columbus. St. Paul's Lutheran Church 'Food for Families' kitchen is open to the public for free, hot meals every Monday and Wednesday from 4-5:30 p.m.

An Al-anon meeting will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church every Monday evening at 8 p.m.

In Attica: the Attica Twp. branch of the Ruth Hughes Memorial District Library will be open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. The library is also open Mondays and Thursdays from 2-7 p.m. and Tuesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

At New Life Christian Church, the Element for young adults (18-30) takes place every Sunday night at 7 p.m. and 2911 Youth for youth ages 13-18 is held at 7 p.m. every Wednesday. Family night including classes for every age group is also held every Wednesday at 7 p.m. Club 738 offers a night of games, music and movies for youth every second and third Friday at 7:38 p.m.

In Almont: Free coffee, cookies and conversation is offered every Thursday from 9-11 a.m. at the Potter's House New Song, 243 E. St. Clair. All are welcome.

Almont Student Enrichment is offering Summer Programs including Get Ready for Preschool, Kindergarten, 1st Grade and 3rd Grade, Summer Golf at Heather Hills, Drama for K-2nd Grade and Drama for grades 3-5. Fall classes planned include 3-year-old Playschool, Fun Fridays for ages 2-5 and wrestling for ages 5-14. Also watch for Flag Football and Karate. In Capac: A community euchre party for players 18 and up begins July 6 at the Lions Club and continues every other Monday. Light refreshments provided. Doors open at 6 p.m. and games start at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $2.

The Capac Senior Center is selling tickets for a raffle to be drawn Sept. 27 at the Scholz Auto Show. Cash prizes and a mini Ford Mustang are up for grabs.

The Striber-McVicar VFW Post 2052 Ladies Auxiliary presents a Farmers Breakfast from 8 a.m.-noon July 5 at the VFW Hall, 70455 McVicar Road, Romeo.
