That is because former Imlay City High School and Grand Valley State University standout David Kircus has joined the roster of the Montreal Alouettes.

The 6-2 and 192-pounder is expecting to line up for them at wide receiver position.

Prior to his arrival north of the border, Kircus appeared on the roster of the Miami Dolphins for the 2008 campaign.

His NFL career also included stints with the Denver Broncos (2006) and with the Detroit Lions (2003-04).

Kircus completed his run with the aforementioned squads with 15 catches for 308 yards, a 20.5 yard average per reception, and one touchdown.

Montreal is coming off a stellar 2008 campaign which saw them appear in the 96th Annual Grey Cup game where they lost to the Calgary Stampeders.

Kircus and his Montreal teammates are slated to begin their 2009 schedule Wednesday, June 17 when they travel to Toronto. The Eastern Conference clash lists a 7 p.m. starting time.
