The trail walk is being held in conjunction with National Trails Day, with all money raised from the event going towards the establishment of a trailhead in Imlay City.

To register before the event, forms are available at the City Hall, 150 N. Main St., or at Kelly's Pet Salon, 208 E. Third St.

There is an entry fee of $15 per person or a family rate (three or more) of $10 per person. The registration packet includes a t-shirt (for early registrants), a light snack, a 2009 membership to Friends of the Polly Ann Trail and discounts and special offers from local businesses.

City Manager Amy Planck credited DDA Director Nancy Jean Brinker for her efforts in promoting the event.
