May 20, 2009 TRI-CITY AREA — Colton Randall carded a 74 over 18 holes and Jordan Heiden posted an 82, leading the Capac golf team to a second-place showing last Wednesday at the Brown City Invitational.

North Branch edged Capac, 332-336, for team honors. They were followed by Richmond (344), Cass City (352), Imlay City (354), Yale (355), Brown City and Armada (359 each), Almont (364), Lakers (373), Algonac (377), Sandusky (387), Ubly (389), Bad Axe (392), Marlette (404) and Harbor Beach (425).
Josh Nemecek shot the next lowest Capac 18-hole total that day, firing an 88. Mike Vollen and Justin Heiden (a 92 apiece) shared their fourth and final scoring spot.
Darren Saunders led Imlay City with an 85 over 18 holes. The Spartans also counted an 89 from Josh Timmer along with 90s courtesy of Brenan Hopkins and Drew Schultz.
Brett McDonald paced Almont with an 86. He was backed by Adam Bachellor (88), Brett Gors (94) and Lauren Bone (96).
