TRI-CITY AREA — A 2-1 opening half edge and a 1-0 second half advantage lifting host Almont to a 3-1 victory over Capac in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity girls' soccer encounter last Wednesday afternoon.
With the decision, Almont moves to 4-1-1 overall and 3-0-1 when they square off versus BWAC rivals.

Heather Curtis (set up by Hailee Hovis) and Lexi Sheehan (unassisted) netted Almont's opening half goals.
Jelena Rosenberg (set up by Curtis) notched Almont's second half tally.
Kayla Phillips and Brittany Schmalzel shared the goalkeeping chores for Almont. Phillips managed five stops, while Schmalzel registered one save.
Steffi Gaiter (assisted by Gloria Polzin) accounted for Capac's goal.
