CAPAC — A 22-10 fourth quarter advantage enabled Armada to register a 66-49 triumph against Capac in a Class B district boys' basketball semifinal game last Wednesday night at Almont High School.
With the final, Armada advances to a Friday, March 13 district championship matchup where Notre Dame Prep provides their opposition. That contest is scheduled for 7 p.m. Capac watches a 9-13 campaign reach an endpoint.
In Wednesday's game, Capac jumped out to a 14-9 advantage after one quarter was complete.

The next eight-minute stretch saw Armada toss in 18 points, while allowing Capac 13.
That made it a 27-27 ballgame at the halftime break.
When the action resumed, Armada struck with a 17-12 third quarter advantage.
That staked Armada to a 44-39 lead with 24 minutes into the record books.
The opening minutes of the fourth quarter would see Armada establish some much-needed breathing room.
It was there Armada put together a 14-7 run covering a 3:39 span. That staked the Tigers to a 58-46 cushion with 4:21 to play.
Armada then outscored Capac 8-3 the rest of the way, assuring themselves of a 66-49 triumph at night's end.
Damon Szafranski and Jared Wozniak proved the toughest Armada players to contain. Szafranski netted 22 points, including six field goals of the three-point variety, and Wozniak contributed 15, featuring a trey.
Matt Burgess put up Capac's highest point total, accumulating 24. The Chiefs also received points courtesy of Josh Messner (10, with a pair of triples), Jon Botwin (nine, including two field goals of the three-point variety), Mitchell Parks (five, with a trey) and Austin Peak (one).
