IMLAY CITY — Rick Finkbeiner earned his 400th career win as Imlay City's coach with a 51-48 victory over visiting Blue Water Area Conference boys' basketball adversary Algonac last Friday night.

With the verdict, Imlay City goes to 7-3 and 5-2. Algonac slips to 6-6 and 3-4.

For awhile it looked as if Finkbeiner, who has coached 14 seasons with the boys' squad and 17 with the girls' program, might just have to wait another night to notch his milestone win.

Algonac put those celebration plans on hold, opening up a 12-11 edge after one quarter was complete.
