Capac wins Perry Tourney


Six finish with 5-0 records on the day

CAPAC — The Capac wrestling team pulled up first among six entries last Saturday at the Perry Rambler Challenge.

Capac concluded the day with five wins and no defeats. The Chiefs defeated South Lyon East (51-24), Garden City (66-18), Flat Rock (63-18), Lansing Waverly (58-15) and Perry (71-3) en route to their number one showing.

Gideon Gaiter (119), Joshua Kaiser (125), Brian Kulman (145), Clay Colwell (160), Thomas Bolday (171) and Shawn Kaiser (215) led Capac with 5-0 marks.

Matt Schuman (103), Ed Niemi (189) and Pat White (285) supplied the next best Capac showings, putting together 4-1 records.

Aaron Smith (152) provided Capac with a 3-1 mark.

Brandon Schalm (130) and Mike Parks (135) added 3-2 records to Capac's cause.

Darren Hunsucker was the other Capac grappler who managed an above .500 mark. He went 1-0 at 152 pounds.
