December 24, 2008 IMLAY CITY — The Imlay City varsity boys' basketball team dropped a 53-43 road verdict to non-league counterpart Millington on Tuesday, December 16.
With the decision, Imlay City slips to 2-1 overall.
In Tuesday's matchup, Millington opened up an 11-7 edge after one quarter was complete and widened the gap to 23-17 at the halftime break.
Millington then outscored Imlay City 30-26 over the last 16 minutes of action, good enough for a 53-43 victory when the final buzzer sounded.
Aaron Thompson led Imlay City with a 21-point performance. Their remaining points went to Adam Van Dyk (six), Eric Ebert and Darren Saunders (five each), Alex Maldonado (four) and Blaine Goertler (two).
Tyler Reinert paced Millington with 19 points. Reinert hit one triple along the way.
