October 01, 2008 IMLAY CITY — A threatening message discovered in a restroom sent police Imlay City High School this morning (Oct. 2).
According to a press release from the Imlay City Police Department, a Credible Threat Assessment Team responded to the school. Nothing was found upon a search of the building and school grounds to suggest an explosive device was present or other danger was imminent.
"The Assessment Team felt strongly that the threat was not credible and fell into the low-risk category," Chief John Stano and Assistant Supt. Jim Earley said in the joint statement.
"School remained in service and no activities were cancelled," Earley said.
The matter is under investigation and anyone with information regarding the bomb threat is asked to contact police at 724-2345.
