TRI-CITY AREA — Imlay City used a 1-0 opening half edge and a 3-0 second half advantage to come out on top of a 4-0 verdict over visiting Almont in a Blue Water Area Conference boys' soccer matchup contested under rainy conditions Monday afternoon.
With the decision, Imlay City goes to 5-1-1 and 4-0. Almont drops to 5-2 and 2-2.

Sylvester Galeana netted the lone Imlay City opening half goal. His tally, just 2:25 in, was of the unassisted variety.
Paul Schwalbe (unassisted), Luis Barragan (set up by Jose Barragan) and Jose Barragan (assisted by Luis Barragan) supplied Imlay City's second half goals. Those scores came with 32:23 remaining, 27:08 to play and 22:25 remaining.
Jonathan Torres was the winning Imlay City goalie. He made six saves.
Mike Nadrowski and Geoffrey Young shared the goalkeeping chores for Almont that day. They combined for eight saves.
