TRI-CITY AREA — Imlay City's Terra Volmering along with Capac's Darci Ball and Abby Aguinaga watched a successful 2007-08 campaign with the Richmond Blues 14 and Under travel softball team wind down recently. The trio are all starters on the squad.

Volmering batted cleanup and lined up defensively at third base. Ball, the leadoff hitter, was the team's shortstop and Aguinaga, who batted third, lined up defensively at first base.

Their season with the team began last September and concluded in July. The squad usually played two games a week for the fall SMAFF season and four a week for the summer season, where it earned the distinction of Blue Division champions.

In addition to those contests, the trio and their teammates competed in various tournaments.
