August 06, 2008 ST. CLAIR COUNTY — Early results indicate Tim Donnellon will be the Republican candidate to square off against a Democratic opponent for sheriff in the November 2008 general election. Ditto for 81st District State House Representative incumbent Phil Pavlov.
Preliminary results indicated approval for the St. Clair County Drug Task Force operating millage, and Republican candidate Robert Wiley will beat out fellow Republican Jeff Currier to take on Democrat John Jones for the Drain Commissioner seat in November.
Unfortunately, results for the closely watched Mussey Township Supervisor's race won't be available until sometime Wednesday afternoon according to St. Clair County Clerk Marilyn Dunn.
Dunn said the clerk's office decided to tally results for specific races only on Tuesday evening, of which township races weren't included. Dunn indicated that the St. Clair County Board of Canvassers won't be collecting results until about 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6.
Results for races in Mussey and Berlin Townships will be posted as soon as they become available to us on Wednesday.
