Gridiron alumni battle for series lead this Sat. in North Branch

IMLAY CITY — Imlay City and North Branch will square off one more time this Saturday in their Third Annual

That contest is scheduled for 7 p.m. at North Branch High School.

The teams head into the fray tied at a game apiece. North Branch won the initial battle by a 21-18 count at home. A crowd estimated between 2,000 and 2,500 fans watched the action unfold.

The following year Imlay City evened the series at a game apiece, prevailing by a a 20-6 count, as a crowd between 2,200 and 2,500 fans filled the stadium.

The proceeds from the event, just as it has in year's past, are going to be divided by the competing schools. It will be used to benefit their athletic programs.

Fans are invited to come on out and support former players from each school who are ready to give their fans a hard-hitting competitive game of football. The gates open at 6 p.m.
