The 15-leg race, varying in lengths from 2.5 to 9.2 miles, is run on a single track trail through lush meadows, oak and pine forests. The trail varies from steep hillsides and long vistas to slightly rolling terrain. Along the way competitors will run past lakes, several rivers and streams.
